Gas station owners threaten to strike over supermarkets

Gas station owners threatened on Tuesday to strike, accusing Transport Minister Makis Voridis of going back on a pledge to ensure that a distance of 40 meters separates gas stations from supermarkets.

Gas station owners complain that the legislation approved in Parliament reduced this distance to 30 meters without any prior explanation.

They also object to cuts to their sector?s auxiliary pension fund.
