Acharnes shootout ends in man’s death

A 53-year-old Albanian man was killed and a 35-year-old Pakistani injured early on Sunday in Acharnes, northwest Athens, when an unidentified suspect shot into a group of people who had seen him running into a 58-year-old Albanian man with his car.

According to police, the driver was attacked by a group of men who saw him hit the 58-year-old with his car.

He fled the scene but returned with a handgun, shooting at the men, killing the 53-year-old, before fleeing again.

The injured 58-year-old Albanian and the 35-year-old Pakistani were taken to hospital.
