Greek banks less reliant on ECB liquidity

Greek bank reliance on European Central Bank liquidity fell to 62 billion euros in April from 78.9 billion euros the previous month, according to a statement by the Greek central bank released in an Athens bourse filing on Tuesday.

Reliance on Emergency Liquidity Assistance, or ELA, which is extended by the Athens-based central bank, stood at 59.2 billion euros in April, compared with 46.3 billion euros the month before, according to the statement.
