Greek-owned vessel set free
A Greek-owned tanker and its 21-member Filipino crew were released on Friday by Somali pirates after being held captive for over eight months.
According to the pirates, the Liberian-flagged Free Goddess was reportedly released after the sum of 5.7 million dollars was paid in ransom.
The amount was not immediately verified.
