Thieves remanded over Iraklio heist

Three of the four suspects detained over the weekend in connection with a 1-million-euro heist on a security van in Iraklio, Crete, in September last year were remanded in custody on Tuesday after appearing before an investigating magistrate.

A restaurant owner, aged 33, a farmer, aged 30 and a minimarket owner, aged 34, were remanded, while the fourth suspect, a 31-year-old taxi driver, received conditional release after posting 30,000 euros in bail.
