Online road tax payment system launched
As of next Wednesday, vehicle owners will be able to pay their road tax online. They will be able to either print their road tax form using the online TAXISnet system, then use this to pay at banks, post offices or tax offices, or they can pay online via web banking.
For the first time this year, authorities will not issue road tax stickers. Instead, all data will be logged electronically.
It is estimated this will save 80 million euros per year.
