Bus, trolley and suburban railway services disrupted
Bus and trolley bus drivers were scheduled to hold a stoppage from noon to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, while services on the suburban railway, known as Proastiakos, were also expected to be halted due to a staff walkout at the same time.
The industial action was part of a 24-hour strike called by the country’s main umbrella unions, the General Confederation of Greek Labor (GSEE) and the civil servants’ union, ADEDY, in Attica on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, GSEE and ADEDY have also called for a general strike on February 20.
