Two arrested in racially motivated arson attack
Police on Thursday arrested two Greek nationals in connection to a racially motivated arson attack in central Athens on Tuesday.
According to sources, the men were suspected of setting fire to a store in the district of Aghios Panteleimonas after verbally abusing and threatening its owner, a native of Cameroon, a day earlier. Another three men were being sought in connection to the attack.
Authorities were also investigating whether the suspects and their accomplices were linked to other racist incidents in the broader Aghios Panteleimonas area.
