Two more bodies retrieved off Kos after boat carrying migrants sinks
The number of bodies found during a coast guard search off the eastern Aegean island of Kos after a boat transporting migrants illegally into Greece from Turkey reportedly sunk on Friday rose to six after the body of a 5-year-old boy was picked up late on Friday off the Greek island and that of an 8-year-old boy was discovered in Turkish waters.
Earlier on Friday Greek authorities had retrieved four bodies, that of a girl aged between 10 and 13, two women and a man.
A man who identified himself as a Syrian national had alerted authorities on Thursday that a boat carrying about 11 or 12 migrants had sunk.
