Anti-terrorist squad makes four arrests after finding arsenal on boat

Anti-terrorist forces arrested four men on Tuesday who were sailing in a seven-meter rubber craft off the eastern Aegean island of Chios that was found to contain a large cache of dangerous weapons.

The four suspects – two Greeks and two foreign nationals – were sailing in a vessel between the islands of Chios and Oinousses. A search of the craft uncovered two anti-tank missiles, four hand grenades, two pistols, ammunition and explosive devices.

The anti-terrorist squad was also conducting investigations in Athens, Thessaloniki and Corinth following the arrests.
