Nestle to create hundreds of jobs for young people

Nestle will create 500 employment opportunities for people under 30 years of age in Greece, half of which will be full-time jobs and the other half training and paid practical experience.

This forms part of its pan-European initiative to create 20,000 job opportunities for young people across the continent in the period 2014-16.

European Commissioner for Youth Androulla Vassiliou welcomed the initiative, saying that the cost to the bloc of youth unemployment comes to an estimated 150 million euros per year.

Labor Minister Yiannis Vroutsis branded Nestle’s decision to present its program in Athens «a vote of confidence in Greece.”
