Teachers’ union calls for rally over arrest of ANTARSYA protester

The secondary school teachers’ union (OLME) on Thursday called on members to gather at the central Athens court complex on Evelpidon Street on Friday morning to protest the arrest on Tuesday of Pavlos Anagnostopoulos, a member of public sector union ADEDY and anti-capitalist party ANTARSYA, during a rally against the assumption of Greece’s presidency of the EU.

OLME also called a work stoppage from 8 to 11 a.m. ADEDY, meanwhile, also called a stoppage from 11 a.m. until the end of the working day.
