The Greek bourse presented a mixed picture at the end of the week’s last session on Friday, with the benchmark slipping slightly on a blue chip decline while rising stocks outnumbered losers thanks to the gains posted by most small-caps.
The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index closed at 1,268.53 points, shedding 0.22 percent from Wednesday’s 1,271.31 points. On a weekly basis it fell 2.15 percent.
The large-cap FTSE/ATHEX 25 contracted by 0.47 percent to 415.81 points, but small-caps enjoyed a 0.55 percent increase.
Marfin Investment Group was the day’s champion with a 10.79 percent rise, while OPAP gave up 4.17 percent.
In total 81 stocks posted gains, 67 took losses and 21 stayed unchanged.
Turnover amounted to 92.5 million euros, down from Thursday’s 102.2 million.
