Greece to face South Korea, Nigeria and Bolivia ahead of World Cup

Greece will face South Korea in a pre-World Cup friendly game on March 5 in Piraeus, the Hellenic Football Federation (EPO) confirmed on Thursday.

The match will kick off at 7 p.m. at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium and will be a dry run for the national team ahead of its game with Japan on June 19 in Brazil.

EPO has also confirmed a friendly with Portugal on May 31 in Lisbon, while a few days earlier it will play a charity game in Piraeus with the team that won Euro 2004 on the 10-year anniversary of the Greek triumph in Portugal.

On June 1 the national squad will reportedly travel to the US where it will play World Cup warm-up games against Nigeria and Bolivia. Then on June 7 it will fly to Brazil ahead of its first game in Group C of the World Cup against Colombia on June 14.

Greece coach Fernando Santos will arrive in Athens on Monday to start checking out his players in domestic league and cup games as well as in European competitions for the following four weeks.
