Greek patient airlifted to Rome for liver transplant

A 50-year-old Greek suffering from liver failure was airlifted to Rome in an air force plane on Saturday in order to undergo a transplant.

The order for the transfer was given by Defense Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos while the cost of the flight was covered by the Hellenic National Center for Emergency Assistance, EKAV.
