Olympiakos sells Djebbour to Nottingham Forest

Greek league leader Olympiakos says it has completed a transfer agreement with Nottingham Forest for Algerian striker Rafik Djebbour to move to the second-division English club.

Olympiakos announced the deal Thursday, with the 29-year-old forward signing for two and a half years. The French-born Djebbour joins fellow Algerian Jamal Abdoun who moved from Olympiakos to Nottingham Forest.

Djebbour has scored five times for Algeria and made 32 appearances.

Olympiakos currently leads the Greek league with 59 points from 21 matches, 11 clear of second-placed PAOK, while Nottingham Forest is fifth in the League Championship with 44 points after 26 games. [AP]
