Civil servants’ union calls for probe into Farmakonisi drownings
Civil servants’ union ADEDY called on Monday for the government to conduct an investigation into the drowning of 12 migrants off Farmakonisi last month.
Referring to the incident as a “crime,” the union said that public officials and the government bear responsibility for the drownings.
“These tragic event came after other ones in which 160 people lost their lives in the Aegean,” ADEDY said.
