Economic sentiment rose to 92.6 points in January, says IOBE

Economic sentiment in January rose slightly from the previous month, according to the Foundation for Economic & Industrial Research (IOBE) think-tank.

IOBE’s economic climate index, which combines consumer confidence with sub-indexes of business expectations in industry, construction, retail trade and services, came in at 92.6 points, from 91.4 a month earlier. In November it reached 91.2, the same as October.

Sentiment rose considerably in 2013, hitting 92.6 points in May, which was the highest it had been since September 2008. But numbers dropped slightly after the summer.
