Charges to rise at key Greek tollgates
Charges at the Elefsina and Corinth Canal tollgates south of Athens are expected to go up as of Wednesday morning, with motorists being charged for traveling in both directions instead of just one way.
Cars traveling both north and south through the Elefsina tollgate will be charged 2.10 euros instead of the 3.20 euros that only southbound vehicles paid previously, while at the Corinth Canal the charge will now be 1.80 euros for vehicles traveling in both directions compared to the 3.20 euros paid only by northbound vehicles previously.
Charges at Aghioi Theodoroi, Pachi Megara and Nea Peramos will also go up.
