New law must go

A new law regarding the capital gains tax on proprty set to become a real nightmare for both citizens and tax consultants.

Clearly this is not the first example of a new tax bill that complicates the lives of those paying taxes in this country.

This is because instead of simplifying matters, the entire Greek tax system has, on the contrary, rendered the situation even more complicated, not to mention riddled with traps.

This is precisely the kind of phenomena that angers people even more.

Furthermore, Greece is currently in its sixth year of recession and citizens simpy cannot take any more tax hikes.

The best solution in this case would be for the coalition government formed by conservative New Democracy and socialist PASOK to scrap the new legislation immediately and correct its erroneous financial predictions.
