Former Alter TV boss’s son acquitted over debts
Andreas Kouris, the son of Giorgos Kouris, owner of the now-defunct Alter TV station, was on Wednesday acquitted of charges that he had failed to pay payroll tax before the channel went out of business.
The court said that the defendant, who was Alter’s vice president, was a non-executive member of the company’s board of directors and thus did not have any executive or representative responsibilities.
