Prosecutor requests appeals court judges plenary to appoint judge in Turkish terrorists case
Supreme Court prosecutor Efterpi Koutzamani on Wednesday requested a plenary of appeals court judges in view of appointing a judge who will undertake to investigate a case file involving four Turkish Kurds remanded in custody over terrorist charges.
The four men, suspected members of the extreme-leftist terrorist organization Revolutionary People’s Liberation Party-Front (DHKP-C), were arrested last week after police discovered a large weapons cache in an apartment in Gyzi, in central Athens.
One of the four suspects on Tuesday admitted that the group had planned to hit targets in Turkey, not Greece.
