Parliament snacks cost taxpayer some 17,000 euros
Almost 17,000 euros in state funding went toward covering the cost of coffee and cookies during parliamentary meetings involving the House speaker and other senior parliamentary officials, it emerged on Tuesday.
Responding to the report, Parliament posted a statement on its website confirming that 16,753 euros were spent on coffee, water and cookies, without specifying the period during which the expenses were incurred.
