Journalist to quit television, announce new party
Journalist Stavros Theodorakis was expected to announce the formation of a new political party on Wednesday afternoon, Kathimerini understands.
Sources said Theodorakis would lead the new political group but would not be a candidate in the European Parliament elections in May. The newly-formed party was expected to announce the names of members and candidates in the upcoming elections in the next few days.
Theodorakis was expected to resign from Mega television channel and quit his weekly “Protagonistes” (Protagonists) show, but maintain his stake in www.protagon.gr, sources said.
