Minister says 12,799 civil servants joined mobility scheme

Administrative Reform Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis told Parliament on Friday that 12,799 civil servants have entered a so-called mobility scheme of forced transfers and layoffs since July last year.

According to data collected following an overhaul of EOPYY, the country’s main healthcare provider, 7,581 EOPYY employees have joined the mobility scheme.

Mitsotakis also submitted to Parliament a document compiled by state inspectors showing that 248 civil servants have been dismissed after having been found guilty of disciplinary offenses.
