Fulham manager says Mitroglou not fit enough

Fulham’s January signing Costas Mitroglou is according to his manager unlikely to feature in the Premier League in the immediate future due to fitness concerns.

The Greece striker was left out of the West London club’s squad for Saturday’s local derby against Chelsea, that the Blues won 3-1.

New Fulham manager Felix Magath made it clear that the £12 million (14.6 million-euro) signing from Olympiakos is not going to play for the first squad any time soon.

Mitroglou for just 29 minutes at West Bromwich Albion a week earlier in the German coach’s debut on the Fulham bench, but that was enough to persuade Magath that the Greek striker is not ready to play in the Premier League.
