Two tremors shake Cephalonia after days of calm
A moderate tremor on Wednesday struck the Ionian island of Cephalonia, where authorities are still trying to repair serious damage caused by two strong earthquakes in January and February.
There were no reports of any additional damage or injuries following the 4.2 Richter tremor, which hit the island shortly after 5 p.m.
Just over two hours before, a stronger tremor, measuring 4.7 Richter, occurred beneath the seabed off the island’s southwestern coast.
