Car sales up 16.6 percent in February
Car sales were up by 16.6 percent in February compared to the previous year, according to data released by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) on Friday.
The report pointed to a total of 6,644 new or imported used cars being sold in February, compared to 5,699 vehicles in the previous year.
ELSTAT’s report also noted that 1,697 new motorcycles (with an engine capacity of more than 50cc) were sold in February, compared to 1,631 the previous year, pointing to a 4 percent rise this year.
