Doctors at Athens, Piraeus state hospitals to join Wednesday’s civil service strike

Doctors at state hospitals in Athens and Piraeus have decided to take part in the civil servants strike called by the ADEDY union for Wednesday.

Their union said the doctors would be striking to protest sackings in the public sector. Civil servants are due to hold a rally in Klafthmonos Square, central Athens, on Wednesday morning.

Public hospitals will be operating with skeleton staff.
