Ex-chairman and deputy held over hospital debts to Greek state

Andreas Martinis and Alexandros Papadimitriou, the former chairman and ex-deputy chairman of the board at the Henry Dunant general hospital in Athens, were arrested on Wednesday in connection with debts run up by the facility to the state.

The hospital’s former management is accused of owing the Social Security Foundation (IKA) more than 600,000 euros in contributions.

This was Martinis’s second arrest in connection with hospital debts.
