Protocol to be signed for new crossing between Greece and Turkey

Representatives of the Greek and Turkish governments are expected to sign an agreement on Friday to construct a new road bridge between the two countries.

The bridge over the Evros River will run between the Kipi and Ipsala border posts.

It will have a length of 810 meters, of which 344 m will be on Greek territory.

The bridge will be wider than the one currently connecting the two sides and will have two lanes in each direction and an emergency lane on each side.
