Number of people visiting Greece in 2013 rose 15.5 pct, data shows

There was a 15.5 percent increase in visitor arrivals last year compared to 2012, according to the Bank of Greece’s border survey.

There as a 13.9 percent rise in arrivals from Europe, which accounted for 88.1 percent of total visitor numbers.

Germany provided the most visitors (12.7 percent), followed by the United Kingdom (10.3) and Russia (7.5). There was an increase in arrivals from Germany and Russia but a drop in visitors from the UK.
