Man arrested over 68,000 packets of contraband cigaretttes
A 57-year-old man was arrested in Thessaloniki on Sunday after being found in possession of 68,000 packets of contraband cigarettes.
The man was arrested as he loaded the cigarettes into his car. He had allegedly been selling them at open-air markets recently.
Authorities estimated that the duty which had not been paid on the cigarettes amounted to 204,000 euros.
