Man turns himself in over north Athens murder

A 45-year-old handed himself in to police in Maroussi, northern Athens, in connection with the murder of a 65-year-old man on Tuesday, officers said on Friday.

The two men allegedly got into an argument over money and the 45-year-old hit his victim over the head with a statuette and then stabbed him.

The suspect, who was not named, was taken to a prosecutor.
