Drachma debate is ridiculous
The euro-or-drachma debate should have been settled a long time ago. Even the most vocal doomsayers outside the country have stopped predicting that Greece will be forces to leave the euro area and switch back to its old currency.
Back here at home, however, the so-called “drachma lobby” refuses to give up because their interests lie in a dependent Greece outside the protective sphere of the eurozone.
Thankfully, their days are numbered thanks to the huge sacrifices made by the Greek people who have given everything they have in order to preserve stability and who now see that the country is, steadily albeit slowly, returning to growth.
