Publisher and journalist charged with failing to declare 10 mln in assets

A well-known publisher and journalist, who has not been officially named by authorities, is to face a magistrate on felony charges after it was discovered that he had allegedly failed to declare more than 10 million euros in assets.

The discrepancy was discovered when officials checked the journalist’s assets against the derivation of wealth (pothen esches) forms he submitted to tax authorities.

The case is being handled by the Athens First Instance Court.
