EOPYY in the red by 421.4 million euros from debts by social security funds

Social security funds owe public healthcare provider EOPYY 421.4 million euros in contributions that they have collected from members but failed to pass on.

According to EOPYY’s figures, it is owed just over 177 million euros by Greece’s largest fund, IKA, 127.2 million by the fund for the self-employed, OAEE, and 117.2 million by ETAA, another fund for self-employed professionals.

This concerns money that the funds collected from their members in 2012 and 2013.

EOPYY sources told Kathimerini that the size of these debts means the organization is unable to pay its suppliers properly.
