Former GD lawmaker is released following testimony
A former Golden Dawn deputy was released after testifying on Monday before the two magistrates probing whether the far-right constitutes a criminal organization,
Chrysovalantis Alexopoulos, a Larissa MP who resigned from the party in early March, has denied charges of involvement in a criminal organization.
Speaking to members of the press following his deposition, Alexopoulos reiterated his claim of Golden Dawn’s leadership having a “secret agenda” which was kept secret from other MPs and party members.
Two Golden Dawn lawmakers, Giorgos Germenis, currently in pre-trial custody, and Eleni Zaroulia, wife of party leader Nikos Michaloliakos, are expected to face the magistrates on Tuesday.
