Firefighters battle Larissa blaze
Firefighters on Thursday were battling a large fire in forestland on the outskirts of Larissa, in central Greece, amid strong winds and high temperatures.
Four water-dumping craft and 11 fire engines have been dispatched to battle the blaze, which broke out in the area of Aghiokambos earlier in the day.
Authorities said that a cluster of residences in the vicinity are not at risk.
Meanwhile, firefighters were also trying to put out separate fires in Mazi in Fthiotida and at a landfill on the island of Kea.
