Suspect in Vyronas bar explosion arrested following police chase

A 30-year-old man wanted for questioning in connection with an explosion on April 17 at a cafe-bar owned by a soccer player in Vyronas, eastern Athens, faced charges on Monday after resisting arrest and trying to flee from police.

The suspect was riding a motorcycle in the eastern suburb of Ilioupoli in the early hours when police signaled for him to pull over. He fled and was arrested shortly afterward.

He is the chief suspect in the case of the explosion at the Vyronas bar, which is owned by a PAOK player.
