Vandals raid office of ND MP in Thessaloniki

Police in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, were investigating yesterday after unknown vandals protesting a government bill on ‘type C’ maximum-security prisons raided the office of New Democracy MP Elena Rapti.

Witnesses said four masked individuals stormed into the premises and threw paint on the walls, furniture and computers while shouting slogans against the bill.

In comments made after the incident, Rapti said she would not be “blackmailed” into voting against the bill.
