Consumer group offers tips ahead of summer sales
Summer sales in the Greek retail sector will begin on Monday, July 14, and run through Sunday, August 31, in a bid to boost activity in the sluggish sector.
Consumer watchdog EKPOIZO on Tuesday issued a series of tips for consumers to ensure the best buys.
These tips include conducting market research before committing to a purchase in order to ensure the best possible value for money, drawing up a list of necessary items rather than shopping on impulse, scrutinizing items before purchasing them to make sure they are not flawed or damaged, refraining from the use of credit cards and demanding a valid receipt for all purchases.
