City Hall opens air-conditioned venues
The City of Athens on Wednesday opened nine of its departments around the Greek capital offering air-conditioned spaces to citizens who are at high risk of heat stroke as temperatures soared close to 40 degrees Celsius.
The areas will be accessible until 6 p.m. and are open to all members of the public.
They are located at the following addresses: Mamouri & Dymis streets in Aghios Pavlos; 26-28 Drakou in Koukaki; 15 Heldreich in Neos Cosmos; 4 Athinodorou in Kato Petralona; 9 Emonos in Kolokynthou; 372 Acharnon in Aghios Eleftherios, 6 Xenagora in Aghios Meletios and on the corner of Vafeos and Panormou in Ambelokipi.
