Kasidiaris led arms classes, magistrates leading GD probe say

Ilias Kasidiaris, the spokesman for ultranationalist party Golden Dawn who was remanded in pretrial custody last week on charges of supplying weapons to a criminal organization as part of a wider probe into the party’s activities, was also responsible for training members in how to handle arms, the magistrates leading the investigation said.

In their decision, made public over the weekend, they said the 33-year-old former commando “possessed weapons with the intent to supply them to members and officials of Golden Dawn, who were trained in the use of assault weapons, not on an isolated or individual level, but within the context of their induction into the party.”
