Newborns airlifted from Samos, Rhodes
A Greek military plane airlifted a newborn baby suffering from respiratory problems from the Aegean island of Samos to Athens late on Friday, while a few hours later a second military plane airlifted another newborn, also with respiratory problems, from the Dodecanese island of Rhodes to Iraklio, Crete.
Both babies were subsequently transferred to local hospitals by emergency assistance EKAV ambulances.
