Italian couple traveling from Greece arrested at Italian port over 70 kilos of heroin
A 44-year-old Italian and his pregnant 34-year-old Italian spouse traveling with their four children from Patra in the Peloponnese to Ancona, Italy, were arrested upon arrival at the Italian port after police discovered 70 kilos of heroin hidden in their trailer.
The pair refused to testify to a prosecutor following their arrest, while local media reported the drugs had been smuggled from Afghanistan and were bound for the Italian market.
