Investors took Monday off as bourse turnover struggled

A very quiet day at the Greek bourse saw little action for most stocks at the start of the week, while trading volume did not even make it past the 70-million-euro mark.

The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index ended at 1,213.31 points, shedding just 0.11 percent from Friday’s 1,214.62 points. The large-cap FTSE/ATHEX 25 index contracted 0.37 percent to close at 390.30 points, but small-caps added 0.48 percent.

Intralot stood out by adding 2.67 percent, ahead of Titan Cement (up 2.21 percent) and EYDAP (2.17 percent). Ellaktor gave up 2.02 percent and Mytilineos slumped 1.95 percent.

In total 56 stocks went up, 60 saw losses and 17 stayed put.

Turnover amounted to 69 million euros, compared with last Friday’s 153.8 million.
