Appeal over legality of civil servants’ strike to be ruled Friday
The Appeals Court in Athens is not expected to rule before Friday on an appeal by civil servants’ union ADEDY against a recent decision by the First Instance Court that deemed illegal a strike against the evaluation of public sector workers.
The lawyers representing the government and ADEDY are due to state their cases on Thursday.
In the meantime, the government is seeking a compromise with ADEDY, which has instructed its members not to comply with the evaluation.
