Only 5 percent of stores see brisker business during this year’s summer sales

Only 5 percent of stores have seen an increase in business during the first weeks of the summer sales compared to the same period last year, according to a survey conducted by the National Confederation of Greek Commerce (ESEE).

The poll indicates that 44 percent of shop owners have seen their sales drop in comparison to the summer of 2013, while 51 percent say that sales are at roughly the same level.

Those that saw brisker business compared to last year were mainly clothing and footwear shops.
