The 62-year-old former director of Grevena Hospital, who was sacked in early June after it was discovered that he had used forged degrees to get his job, has been arrested after a row with his teenage son.
Police were called to the family’s home on Wednesday after neighbors heard shots being fired.
The 62-year-old told police that following a row with his son, the 18-year-old fired a hunting rifle at him but missed.
The teenager told police that his father shot an air gun at him, causing a minor injury.
Both men were arrested and face charges of aggravated assault and breaching firearms laws.
The ex-hospital director was found to be in illegal possession of three hunting rifle, two revolvers, three bayonets, two double-barreled shotguns and 76 cartridges.
